3 Days Of Meditation
Why meditate?
Let's look at the physical benefits of meditation and its impact on reducing chronic stress!
When you experience stress, your body goes into the sympathetic nervous system, and your brain tells the body to release the hormone cortisol (to move you out of danger). Too much of this turns into chronic stress, and you might experience things like adrenal fatigue, blood sugar dysregulation, suppressed immune function, and an overburden of toxins or pathogens.
When you relax the mind and body (i.e., meditation), your body goes into parasympathetic nervous system activation, otherwise known as "rest and digest," This is where healing or homeostasis happens in the body. In this state, you will lower blood pressure, sleep deeper, digestion improves, inflammation decreases, and you have more energy. Not to mention increased self-awareness and the ability to handle emotions with ease.
